Updating in the works.

Posted by Justin under Uncategorized

So, yeah I definitely have been slacking on this site for oh? A year or two?

I’m going to change up the theme and get rid of this mess of advertising. Oh yeah, and start updating it again actually.

Stand by.

It’s been way too long.

Posted by Justin under Personal, affiliate marketing

So I’m looking at the date of my last post… 29 January.  LOL!

Yeah, anyway things are going well I have been busy doing the upkeep on my 30 other domains now, doesn’t leave me with a lot of time and/or motivation to write a personal blog.  But complaining aside things are going pretty well, last month (May) was my best month yet in the affiliate marketing journey I’ve taken.  I made around $2500 solely from my internet promotions.  With my goal being $5000 a month by the end of the year I am halfway there!  My work ethic has been not the greatest lately either, I could easily be making my goal now if I had kept at it like the beginning of the year.  Oh well.  This is a short post but I thought I would update this.  This thing is really ugly I need to change the theme as well.

Anyone still reading this, wow.

Justin

Hulk Hogan Launches New Energy Drink: Hogan Energy

Posted by Justin under Personal, review

“YOU WANT ENERGY BROTHER?…

NOW YOU’VE GOT IT!”
Hogan Energy - Free Trial
Hulk hogan has launched a new energy drink mix that comes in these little packets.  The packets are handy kind of like those kool-aid and other such packets you can buy in the stores.  They have a free trial going on, I just ordered mine to try it out.  I’m kind of amped to get them actually, when’s the last time you saw Hulk Hogan endorse something? I mean I’ve got to buy it almost because of that…plus it’s free except for shipping, so what am I out in the end, right?

These “extreme energy granules” claim to do the following:

  • Immediate Mental Clarity and Focus
  • Fell awake, alert and productive for hours
  • Rapid energy jolt without jitters or crash
  • Combat morning grogginess or afternoon lulls
  • Tastes Great!

This will no doubt be a great gag gift at the very least, I can’t wait for my box to arrive, I’ll let you know how it tastes, or you could just try it yourself.  I am completely comfortable shelling out the $3.95 to try the Hulk’s “amazing” new energy drink, haha.

Maybe it will make me remember the good ol’ days of wrestling, steroids and spandex.

Click Here to try Hogan Energy for $3.95

I did and I can’t wait to get it.

10 Reasons You Should Buy Netflix

Posted by Justin under Uncategorized

1. Free Trial for a full 2 weeks!

That’s right, you can try, Netflix out for two full weeks to see if you like it.  I know this is how I was introduced to their service and why I’m still using it today.  If you wish to cancel your subscription at anytime in the two weeks, no matter the time of day you can.  And you will be charged absolutely nothing.

2. More Movies for less money than renting from a store.

I used to rent movies religiously from stores and what not, places like Blockbuster Video.  But, at $5 per rental the costs add up quick.  If you’re renting a movie every weekend even…just ONE you are spending at least $20 per month, this is outrageous.  If you’re anything like me you definitely rent more than one movie at a time and probably more than 4 in a month.  Even at the rate of one per weekend that’s $240 per year you’re spending to rent movies from Blockbuster.

With Netflix you’re spending at the most $16.99/mo and that is at the highest plan available.. I use the much cheaper plan, but I will detail the plans in another number so please stand by.

3. Rent in full HD.

You can rent movies in full HD, they have several Blu-Ray titles which is growing by the day.  I do not own a Blu-Ray player however after talking to several acquaintances of mine I have found there is a rather high demand for the higher quality discs.  With the prices of Blu-Ray discs this is no doubt a feature many of the more high definition consumers will enjoy.

4. STREAM in full HD.

This is a feature I am well aware of, as I use the “Watch Instantly” feature the most on my Netflix account.  How many other services allow you to stream movies in full HD?  I use this whenever the title is available.  Netflix says you need a 5Mbps connection at the least for this, which I’m betting most of you do if you have simple cable internet like myself.  I am even sharing wireless with a few roommates and never have any issues streaming HD movies from netflix.  The quality is

Long Days

Posted by Justin under Uncategorized

Well, it’d been a while since my last post, thought I’d update.  So far I’m ~60% to my goal this month of $1k in revenue from affiliate marketing, if things keep going this well I will surpass my goal by a bit by the end of the month.  I have one product up at the moment that is pretty much killing it compared to what my stats are normally.  I think I had a record day yesterday which was $160 from one product in one day.

With other site’s I’ve put up (I registered 5 over the weekend), I’ve got one pretty much built and trying to push out one a week at this point.  I’m also looking to start outsourcing again as I may have found some better people to work with, and this stuff is starting to eat up more and more of my time.

Speaking of time, I’ve been up since about 1-2 AM every day this week, I find I get more work done in the early hours of the morning.  From there I go to work for about 9 hours, then I usually pass out.  Weird sleep schedule but it seems to be working for me.

I’ve also continued using my Netflix service on a regular basis and loving it.  It’s really convenient not having cable to just turn on the xbox and watch any movie from a pretty large selection.  I will say I hope they update their “Movies you’ll love” code soon though, I think I only have like 200 some matches now and it seems to not work as well, guess I’ll have to find them on my own.

Be on the lookout to some more updates and I’m looking to change the theme of this site as well as add some more banners and what not to improve the feel of this place.  It was my first experience with wordpress when I made this thing a few months ago and now I’m noticing how rough it looks.  I’ve been so busy with my product site’s I’ve kind of neglected this one in updating and content.  This will change.

Take care.  Keep posting comments it reminds me to update this place :) .

2:26AM Happy New Year!: New Goals and I guess Resolutions?

Posted by Justin under Personal, affiliate marketing

Well this is the first New Years I’ve spent sober in recent memory, it’s probably been about 8 or 9 years.  I spent it being rather unproductive and playing Fallout 3 which I got for Christmas on my xbox 360.  It felt kinda weird doing nothing on New Years especially with the dorms being so empty but I feel good about it as I ventured into excess most nights while I was on leave the last week back home in Des Moines.  I have a few regrets and some shameful moments from this to reflect on but I’m trying not to regret as there’s not much I can do about it now.

On a lighter note one of my best-friends got married while I was on leave, Jason.  I wish him and his new wife Holly,  luck.  It was pretty great to be around them and their families compared to my usual environment here.  I also hung out with Ake quite a bit which was always a good time.

Anyway, to get down to business here, this post was more intended about my affiliate marketing venture.  For instance last month I not only made my first conversion doing it but ended up making around $480 since I’ve gone down the rabbit’s hole with this stuff.  I am pretty happy with myself on this as I’ve only really been consistently working on this and not spending more of my time reading/studying marketing and reading those godforesaken “e-books.”

I started out originally just wanting to sell one of ANYTHING at the beginning of December but by the end of it I’m VERY content with making what I did.  My goal for January is to bring in $1000.  This is not much compared to some of the guys out there but I’ve only been at this in a realistic way for about 2 months.  Most of my time at the beginning was spent reading/learning as I said earlier.  Originally, I planned on solely using this blog as a personal thing and writing reviews for products I enjoyed, but found out no one would care what I think until I’ve made a name for myself.

I guess if you want to call it a “resolution” that would be mine.  To make a name for myself this year.  Obviously my work schedule will interfere with this and I’m planning on going to school as well as a deployment if I can get a slot for one.  When I accomplish this goal, I plan on trying to find the ceiling from there, but with this sort of thing the great thing is there really is no ceiling.  That is, if you plan your business model accordingly.

Now, I am getting ahead of myself though.  I will focus just on this month making $1k.  While I’m not at my full-time job…in the military, ugh.

If you’re interested in how to do something like this please feel free to leave a comment and check out My Affiliate Networks List. I would be happy to answer any questions you have, but like I said I’m no expert, just a beginner myself. I’m getting a firm grasp on the basics though I would say for how much time I really put into actual “work” on this.

Netflix on XBox 360 Review

Posted by Justin under Personal, motorcycles, review, xbox360

Living in the dorms on a military base, I chose to just stick with the internet rather than getting hosed by the ONE cable provider we’re provided with on base, which has a monopoly so as you’d guess their service is absolutely horrible.

Simply because they know you have no other choice.

Now I do have an hdtv and it happens to have a VGA port so I can hook my laptop up to it. With all the video sites around now and NetFlix and it’s competitors offering viewing of entire movies on their web-sites I said no thanks to cable….

Then a while back while I was waiting god knows how long for my xbox 360 to get back from their repair depot. (Click Here to read that horror story) I had read about Netflix offering the ability to stream movies through xbox live. This sounded fantastic to me as that is what I primarily use netflix for since I’m not a big fan of waiting a day or two to get the dvd.

This is my mess of a setup

My Cash for Christmas

Posted by Justin under Personal, review

With Christmas only a few days away I thought I’d post this.  I don’t make a whole lot of money so coming up with cash for the holidays is no easy task in itself.  This year I found myself scrounging for dough.  Not really financially able to get what my family deserved with our tightening economic crunch and my lack of any credit cards I thought maybe I’d try one of these holiday loan things.

So I found this “my cash for christmas” site and thought I’d give it a whirl.  I plan on paying it back relatively quickly as I only needed a small loan.  And this worked out great for me. The response was instant and I got the cash within a business day to go get the gifts I needed.  I got my family everything that was reasonable and I could afford.  I’ll pay the loan off after the 1st when I get my check and already made a small payment on it.

I think I’ll probably do this next year.

A week since my last post?

Posted by Justin under Personal, affiliate marketing

Well it’s been over a week since I last posted an update, I apologize to those few readers I have that I see trickle in on a daily basis through my statistics.  I’ve been working a lot on other sites but still having less than hopeful outcomes.  My adsense revenue is going up steadily but still lacking on the affiliate network income.

I’ve been trying to push a few sites here and decided not to outsource anything anymore due to my last attempt at it spawning several competitors…that and a new paypal dispute.  That is a whole other thing in itself.

Anyway expect some steady updates the next few weeks as I’ll be not at work a little bit with the holidays, I’ve been using netflix on my xbox 360 here lately and plan on writing a review about that.  It is really handy, I’ll save that for my next post.  Thank you for reading.
